MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 28, 2018 – Leaders from the MANOVA Global Summit on the Future of Health, today announced that three physicians from Mayo Clinic will host a discussion about the future of innovation, health care delivery and how technology can empower consumers. The Mayo Clinic panel discussion will take place during the MANOVA Global Health Summit on Monday evening, Oct. 8.
The groundbreaking panel discussion, entitled “Mayo Clinic, Innovation, and the Future of Healthcare” will feature three Mayo Clinic physicians including: Andrea Cheville, M.D., a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Specialist at Mayo Clinic, Stephanie S. The panel will take place during MANOVA’s Grand Opening Dinner on Oct. 8 at 7:30 p.m. and will bring together serial innovator, Dr. Friedman, health care delivery model visionary, Dr. Cheville, and health and wellness expert, Dr. Faubion, to discuss the way in which consumers, empowered by technology, big data, and artificial intelligence (AI), will be ushering in a new era in healthcare, and how the Mayor Clinic is positioning itself as a global leader, embracing these changes and shaping the next quarter century of the global healthcare landscape. The panel discussion will occur over a seated dinner and will take place in lieu of a previously announced address by Mayo Clinic’s incoming CEO, Gianrico Farrugia, who has a scheduling conflict.
The Mayo Clinic Panel will kick off the various themes to be highlighted at the inaugural Summit including: Global Best Practices in Healthcare, The New Consumer Landscape for Health and Wellness, Disruptive Ideas and Emerging Trends in Medicine and Health, Environmental Challenges in the Health Industry, and Opportunities for Venture Capital and New Investments in the Health and Medical sectors.
